Bumblebee | Movie Review

Bumblebee (2018)  *spoiler review
Director: Travis Knight
Producers: Michael Bay, Steven Spielberg, & others
Cast: Hailee Steinfield (Charlie), Jorge Lendeborg Jr (Memo), John Cena (Agent Barns), & others

Bumblebee was released in 2018.  I am a little behind on this review, since I had to wait for it to be released on DVD.  However, it was well worth the wait.

I grew up on Transformers as a child.  From the various animated series, to the live-action films during my adult life, and now with Bumblebee.  It is the first in the re-boot for the live-action films, and they hit the mark.  I thought the film had a great balance of action, romance, and heart-felt moments that brought the characters to life, and made them stand-out better than the original live-action franchise.

I found out after the film that Steven Spielberg was an executive producer.  I have not been disappointed with a film he was worked on his ET (the alien scarred me as a child so much).  Travis Knight, a new face for me, directed the film.  I hope they make more movies soon, and they keep the director, producers, and a few of the other cast/crew.

This is the first appearance of Hailee Steinfield that I have had the pleasure of seeing.  You could feel the sadness that her character, Charlie, felt at the beginning of the film.  Her dad died from a heart attack, and her mother remarried.  Like any teenager going through a traumatic experience, your emotions go crazy.  I think that this actress will go far in her career.

My favorite scene in the entire film was when Charlie's step-dad stopped the military from following her in the chase scene.  They narrowly was missed by all the cars.  That made me both laugh and kept me on the edge of my seat until it ended.

As I said above, I am looking forward to the next installment.  Hopefully this time I will get to see it in the theaters.  Below are YouTube reviews that I really liked.  I decided not to release a video one myself for this particular one.  I am taking a little R&R after all the Marvel reviews I posted on my YouTube channel, plus the 4 that are still pending for the rest of the week (Captain America 1-3, & Avengers 4).

We are seeking local investors who wish to be part of our first project. Currently generating our investment packages & business plans before we actively seek out. It will come with tax deductions (in talks with tax specialists to make 100% certain before we move forward with offers).

In the meantime, Ky's Korner Productions LLC will be looking for the following (primarily hiring in Pennsylvania)...

1x Hair/Makeup Artist (will act as both)
