Wu Assassins: Season 1 (2019) | TV Series Review

Wu Assassins: Season 1 (2019) *spoiler review
 Creators: Tony Krantz, John Wirth
Cast: Iko Uwais (Kai Jin), Byron Mann (Uncle Six), Katheryn Winnick (Christine Gavin), & Lewis Tan (Lu Xin Lee)

Wu Assassins is about a warrior chosen as the latest and last Wu Assassin. He must search for the powers of an ancient triad and restore balance in San Francisco's Chinatown.

 SEASON 1 REVIEW
The last Wu Assassin has been chosen, and must stop the Wu Xing.  The season had a lot of fighting, blood, and character development.  The plot felt like it lacked, A LOT, but the episodes themselves were amazing.  Iko Uwais is a new face for me, I do not recall any of his previous works.  His character, Kai Jin, goes through a MAJOR change.  He started out as not killing anyone but ends up becoming the Wu Assassin and forced to kill in order to protect his family, home, and the world.  I liked how Uwais portrayed Kai in the season very much, however Lewis Tan and Katheryn Winnick stole the show.  Christine Gavin "CG" Dill (played by Katheryn Winnick) is an undercover cop investigating the Triad, her cover is a car thief who gets recruited by Lu Xin Lee (played by Lewis Tan).  During her cover, Kai gets caught spying on CG due to a dream involving her and the Wu, she sneaks up behind him and they fight.  At the end of the fight, she reveals that she is a cop.  Kai escapes and later CG is helping everyone to stop the Wu, and help cover up a fight between Lu and other criminals.

Below I posted the reviews from other people that I like & the official trailer for season 1.
